Charlotte Fleming makes art about the small, the quirky, and seemingly mundane. Both the silly and the serious are always welcome. Through sketches, books, and zines, she observes/illustrates moments where the manmade and natural world meet in absurdity or delight. In 2024, she graduated from Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts with an MFA in Illustration & Visual Culture at Washington University in St. Louis. Previously, she majored in Chinese (Mandarin) at Williams College (2015), taught English through Fulbright in Taiwan (2016-2017), and worked in Marketing & Communications for an arts & cultural exchange nonprofit, Asian Cultural Council (2017-2022). She is an outdoor cat that likes to play frisbee and look at trees.
