Turtle Island sits off the coast of Yilan, Taiwan. Moving up and down the curved coastline, the (vaguely) turtle-shaped island seems to shift direction. This phenomenon is known as "the head turning of Turtle Island" (龜山轉頭). This teeny tiny zine expands like a vertical photo album. Images were painted from video and photos collected while living in Taiwan, and exhibited in 2024 at Des Lee Gallery's Parabola Graduate Art Show.
